You have one 16-quart pitcher full of water, an empty 9-quart pitcher, and an empty 7-quart pitcher. Using nothing but these three pitchers, can you divide the water evenly so that the 16-quart pitcher and 9-quart pitcher are each holding exactly 8 quarts of water?
