Charged Particle in a Uniform Magnetic Field

The path of a charged, and otherwise free, particle in a uniform magnetic field depends on the charge of the particle and the magnetic field strength. The path is shaped by the Lorentz force , acting perpendicular to the particle's velocity. The blue cylinder is parallel to the magnetic field. The green cylinder points in the direction of the initial velocity of the particle.
