This Demonstration shows three sampling distributions of means. You can change the standard error of the mean for each distribution. By doing so you can see how a sampling distribution becomes narrower and taller as the standard error decreases. Remember that the standard error decreases as sample size increases, so think of a decreasing standard error as an increasing function of sample size.
