Distance Distributions in Finite Uniformly Random Point Processes

Let points be uniformly randomly distributed in a -dimensional ball of radius , centered at the origin. This Demonstration plots the distribution (pdf) of the distance to the nearest neighbor from the origin for such a point process. The mean and variance values of the distance are also provided.
