A single first-generation octahedron is surrounded by half-scale second-generation octahedra centered on each face of the preceding generation. Similarly, these are surrounded by quarter-scale third-generation octahedra. In the limit of an infinite number of iterations, the fractal arrangement has a cube as its convex hull. The opacity can be adjusted from 0 to 1 for each generation, allowing better visualization of the construct.
