Gaps in GPS Data
Obstacles can hide satellite signals, which creates a gap in GPS (global positioning system) data.
This example shows a trip from São Paulo, Brazil to Santos on the coast. When the car is inside three sequential tunnels, data is lost.
The trip starts from around 800m of altitude and goes almost to sea level.
