The Goldbach conjecture states that every even number can be expressed as the sum of at least one pair of prime numbers. Given an integer , the task of encountering such a pair can be performed by a particle-based cellular automaton. The initial condition consists of a mirrored list of particles situated at the same positions as the prime numbers. The particles on the left and right collide at points that represent the sum of the prime numbers associated with the particles. The Goldbach conjecture affirms that such a collision takes place at every time in the evolution of this cellular automaton.
