Helices

Vertical cylinders are mounted on the vertices of a horizontal polygon to form a unit (floor), and such units are stacked. Then the cylinders are tilted so that their tops follow the circumscribing circle of the polygon. The cylinders are on helices. The structure thus produced can also be interpreted as a geometrical model of extendable structures to be considered in the construction industry, mechanical engineering, and biology.
