A current is induced in a wire when the magnetic flux is changing across the surface bounded by the wire. The square loop in the Demonstration is rotated in a uniform magnetic field (B) and an alternating current is produced. The plot shows the voltage across the loop over time, while also showing the approximate voltage at a specific instance in the animation, and the maximum voltage that is induced.
