This Demonstration draws successive samples from a population to illustrate sampling coverage. Each sample is without replacement, but successive samples begin from the full population. The graph plots separate simulations up to the maximum number of samples, so for example, for a maximum of 10 samples, 10 separate simulations are performed, the first for one sample, the second for two samples, etc.

Details

This Demonstration was created in response to a question about successive stock takes. In particular, how big a sample size should be to be confident of checking 95% of the population every month, if a random sample stock check is performed every day.
