A note on the staff corresponds to one of four different tones, depending on the clef.

Use the slider to change the note placement; the related note for each clef is shown on the left. Select a clef option and click the play button to play the specified tone.

On the slider, middle C is denoted 0, and positive or negative integers give the number of semitones above or below middle C.

A tone may be highlighted twice, when the same note appears on a different clef.
