A particular value of the aspect ratio of a photo may be needed to fit a certain screen or print size. This Demonstration enables you to do this, while keeping the middle part of the photo free from distortion.

First, select the left and right part to be stretched or shrunk while leaving the central part unchanged. Then adjust the left and right stretch ratios to get the desired aspect ratio.
