Wolfram Demonstrations Project

The nonlinear Schrödinger equation can be applied to describe nonlinear systems such as fiber optics, water waves, quantum condensates, nonlinear acoustics, and many others. This Demonstration solves the specific case of a soliton profile perturbed by a periodic potential.
