Superquadrics are generalizations of quadrics (which are ellipsoids, hyperboloids of one or two sheets, and paraboloids) using the exponents , assuming non-integer values. All such surfaces involve the use of a combination of trigonometric, hyperbolic trigonometric, and square root terms raised to these powers.
